Safety

Safety Is Paramount

Baten Steel Erectors maintains a strong commitment to safety, with OSHA setting the bar as a minimum, from the owner down through every aspect of the organization. Our full-time safety department provides expertise and assists in the pre-construction phase to mitigate hazards whenever possible. Jobs are continuously monitored through daily pre-task planning, weekly safety meetings, and periodic safety audits. Baten Steel Erectors trains all employees to understand the importance of safety in the performance of their jobs. Our safety department works to ensure that policies and procedures exceed the base standard and are carried out in our employee’s behavior and actions. Continuous and ongoing training is crucial to our company’s success. Along with the local unions, employees are offered numerous training opportunities in our specific scope of work. Additionally, every employee is empowered to help identify and mitigate hazards as well as look out for their fellow man. Baten Steel Erectors strives to incorporate safety in all aspects of the job, from pre-planning to final turnover. Training programs run throughout the calendar year and as required by project-specific contracts to ensure our safety culture.
